I don't understand when Ainsley confronts Gabe how he evades her questions. Then the two brothers arrive and all of a sudden it's all truth "this is all for show and the pregnant woman is my friend's niece I met a couple of weeks ago--the baby isn't mine." OK. Why not lead with that for god's sake!? This writing does not make sense.

This book just doesn't make sense. Or, more like it's not compelling. I get that Ainsley (HATE that name) is upset her dads don't pay her any attention, and she takes it personally when she sees stuff in the tabloids, but she freaks out all of a sudden to confront him and then it comes out the Porter's publicity was somewhat manipulated too? I can't figure out what exactly happened there. It's as clear as mud.

The female narrator is so annoying. Her voice follows the same pattern over and over, regardless of what she’s saying or feeling.. Plus she puts this little whiney, growly emphasis at the end of each sentence. I want to scream.
Lastly, Porter’s song lyrics are SHIT. They don’t rhyme. They don’t have a rhythm. They are completely banal.

Omg I really don’t want to put this one down !
