Status Updates From We Were Here

they made it to the border but then miguel locked eyes with a mexican kid on the other side of the wall and thought about how he wasnt a real mexican and didnt deserve going there so he told rondell and they went to a fancy dinner spot to have big steaks and stuff then they slept on the beach

mong killed himself and gave muigel his tooth necklace and then the next morning muigel and rondell walked a lot and didnt talk but the next day they were back to speaking and muigel called his mom on a payphone twice and the first time she answered and muigel didnt respond and the ssecond she asked if it was him but he hung up immedately

the boys went to a basketball court and randall was really good and carried the team to victory but he gave muigel the game wining shot, but midway through mong collapsed and after the game 2 guys tried to steal the petty cash they took from the group home but they chased them down and mong beat them up then they got a ride to another beach town where mong used to stay with his dad

the boys walked down the beach and then found a bus stop and took a bus to LA and they got some new clothes and went to a basketball court and watched a game then got invited to play

they left their camp on the beach and started walking down the highway and they were trying to hitchhike but an undercover cop pulled next to them and rondell told him his real name and they had to hide from the cops for a while.

after robbing the store they built a fire in the beach and talked for a while then the main character went to go write in his journal but instead he read mong and randalls files.

the 3 kids ran away from mongs cousin and got on a bus to some beach then they robbed some old dudes shop after he was racist to them and mong tied him up and broke both the phones he had so he couldnt call the cops and then they went along the beach for a while then they found a cave and are hiding out in there for now

The main character and randall and mong ditch mongs cousin after she takes them to get pizza and she tells him a story on the way there but she says shell let mong finish it

The main characters old cellmate got transferred and then the both of them and the crazy Asian kid Mong escaped the group home and were supposed to be on the run to Mexico but instead Mongs cousin is driving them north because mong needs to talk to somebody in the famly.

the main character gets into a fight with some crazy Asian kid and apparently the kid is super messed up.
