Status Updates From The Dreamers

Finished book - as it is relatively small. My overall feeling is that I've visited the mid-section of the film Cabaret (without Liza M, of course, and without Berlin). I liked the detail and cinema references in Adair's novel. I like novels set in Paris, Caveat - a slow burn. Reminded me of those French movies I used to watch (before I was seduced by Friedkin and Lumet).

The prose is evocative, slow burn - read Chap 1. Interesting beginning - feel like i'm in a movie by Alain Resnais!

Just starting - I love stories set in Paris and environs. Looking forward to reading Jean Cocteau bio, too.
