This girl isn’t just stupid, she’s frigging selfish. She shamans had already paid a bride price for her and her uncle spent it before she decided it was a great idea to screw the selkies and get addicted. While sometimes historicals will be enough to do it for me, this really isn’t hot at all. It’s like i want something, i’m reaching for it; the author is decent enough to tease me with it a little, but the follow through isn’t hot at all.

Even though the author flew in the face of tradition and began the historical romance with an orgy and had the girl deflowered within the first 10% of the book, i still wouldn’t call this erotica.

It’s a historical - really something i should have picked up on before i even started reading, and that makes it easier for the author to make the girl a virgin (because apparently it’s impossible for modern girls to be virgins).
