Status Updates From Rio Los Angeles

I had a slightly hard time getting started with this book but once I was a few chapters in I started to enjoy it.

I recieved this novel via Goodreads, Luminare Press and author Diego Kent, in return for an honest review. At 70% completed I find myself unconnected to the characters. I would say character building and more interaction between characters would help.
In addition, there are histories I have heard of but do not know, people who just randomly pop into the story, and a lot of "sayings" and boat knowledge.

Got this one for free in a giveaway and I think it will be one I just cannot finish. 15% entertaining, the rest tedious slog for me. Putting it aside for now, and trying something different. Quite telling that 3 to 4 days in reading and I am only at 84 pages.
