Status Updates From Dying to Know

Done. 2.5 stars? Maybe.
I finished it, and the writing wasn't bad. The children felt significantly younger than they were, and for some odd reason nothing could happen without the MC being involved, and everyone just went along with it??? Police, hospital staff, bikers, killers.... cause that makes sense.
Also at least a third of the story was just it repeating itself. Honestly could have been a lot shorter.

This book is copy, paste, repeat of the same drama. Over and over and over.
With the MC saying she'll handle future issues differently than makes zero changes. Just exploding all over the place and wondering why nothing's changing

I guess it's a good thing she never became an investigative journalist, she wouldn't survive long with how much air is rattling around in her head.

“Hell, haunt me all you want. It’d be amazing to have you around again” just broke my heart

Man oh man I hate Hugh, I hope he is guilty so he can get the full force of what he deserves

I read The Good Mother by the same author and I am comparing this book to that one and unfortunately finding it lacking. I wish I could stop comparing because I feel it can take away the enjoyment of the read. I'm still listening to this audiobook, so obviously I do like it.
