I find God most often works
in quiet places
where no eyes watch
and no voices praise

in these seasons
He shapes my faith
not by what I see
but by what remains unseen^

^Remembering My Place

remembering my place
was the best advice the world could give
for I am seated with Christ in heavenly places
wearing a crown of beauty
all because of His crown of thorns^

^No Space For the Enemy in My House

scriptures written on journal pages
worship music playing on the speakers
and sweet-smelling flowers to remind me

^Heaven’s Joy is My Strength

when I wake
I must choose joy
even when it does not choose me
for joy is not a mood
not mere gladness or ease
it is a force
heaven-born
quietly defiant
it lights my darkest night
and by grace
perhaps someone else’s too^

^A Blooming Soul

as a flower quietly opens
beneath the warmth of morning light
so my soul begins to bloom
when I am near the Son^

^Faith

faith is like a butterfly
fluttering just beyond eager hands
too swift for pride to grasp
too gentle to be forced

yet when it rests
still as a whispered prayer
it cannot be denied

this quiet surety
of what we hope for
the unseen made certain
is a gift breathed out
by God’s own breath

not earned
not claimed
but received
with a humble heart^

down in the dirt
with soul on my knees
I find a quiet place to start again
between tears and dust
God’s promise takes root
and the smallest seed of hope
begins to grow^

^Love on Purpose

all that remains is this soul
so I’m spending my days
doing what draws it closer to Him
not chasing applause
but learning to live quietly
and deeply
for in the end
only love will last^

today I took off my rain boots
and filled them with seeds
a few seasons from now they will bloom
in the waiting
I dance barefoot
content
before the flowers appear^

I fill my basket with fresh fruit every day
the kind that is always in season
the kind I cannot earn, only receive:

in the same coffee-stained clothing
quiet hours no one notices but God

stepping outside
where inspiration speaks louder
than my fears or my plans

embracing dirty feet, frizzy hair
and the gentle him of ordinary things

this messy process is a vision taking shape
formed from dust
breathed on by grace

I’m choosing to live in wonder here and now
above the noise
I’m making worship the soundtrack of my life^

^Eden’s Freedom

I am told to learn from the lilies
so I watch them dance in stillness
and this is what they whisper

there is a freedom
a freedom born in Eden
lost to sin
yet promised once again

not by nature’s strength
but by the hand of the Redeemer
who was
and is
and is to come^

^Look At the Stars

I felt small in this world
inconsequential even

I wondered about my purpose
and then a voice whispered,
”the star-breather sees you”

now every night the sky reminds me
not only of who I am
but of who He is^

I want to leave hallelujahs wherever I go
always carrying joy and praise
because I come in the Lord’s name^

with wildflowers on my table
birds singing at the window
and honey in my tea
I am reminded of the small joys
signs that even in the storm
the world is still His^

to spend first light with Him each day
is the goal of my little old life
perhaps all it takes
is giving God my first hello^

^Seeking & Finding

the more I seek Him the more I notice
flowers landing next to my feet
birds singing outside my window
all love letters from the God
who knows no coincidence^

^Surrender

may we run
into waters unknown
and valleys below
if that’s where You’re calling

may we stay planted
in lands and riverbeds
no matter how dry
if that’s what You’re asking

may we live this life
in complete surrender
because it was never ours
to begin with^

^More Valuable Than the Sparrow

I said hello to a tiny sparrow
who hopped around on my windowsill today
I thanked him for bringing me this moment
a few seconds to remember
just how much I am cared for^

^In and Out of Season

I won’t rush what happens beneath the ground
for I am sown like a seed
not to be hidden
but to be held
kept safe in His garden
where no season is ever wasted
when I wait on God
I break through the surface
not a moment too soon
not a moment too late^

^Heavenly Love

he loves me

petals might determine earthly things
but real love is a heavenly sum that makes no sense

He always loves me^
