September 9/10. People assume some people couldn't possibly have real feelings of connection to certain others, but maybe even a school building itself can care about the kids. Only a Sally Brown has the sensitivity to recognize it and respond.

August 27. Boy does that resonate. I know how it feels, Charlie Brown, to be in over your head as soon as you get out of bed in the morning.

August 19. A funny reversal of expectations.

July 23. This one is a good mix of whimsy and insightful word selection.

July 14. When Mr. Schulz does a purely silly strip, it's such a breath of fresh air!

June 4. We don't get much Lucy/Peppermint Patty crossover humor, but this one is pretty good.

January 11. Sally Brown has some of the purest, funniest lines in Peanuts.

December 3 and 5. This distillation of the week's concept is brilliant. Kids suffer when adults shave off all the rough edges from their impromptu recreation and insist everything be sanitized and leached of anything truly fun.

November 23. This reminds me of a line in Judy Blume's Tiger Eyes. What if you've already lived your last "A+" day in life?

November 11. What is as inevitable as death and taxes? Lucy yanking the football at the exact moment you just know you're going to kick it this time.

September 17. I know how Charlie Brown feels, as though he's never notched a single win in life.

September 10. This isn't the first strip like this in the collection, but it started me thinking. It's wise to build in a period of time for you to cool down when you're angry, so you can opt not to lash out in a way likely to cause you problems. From time to time, Sally is wise.

June 30. It does seem true that a philosophical mind like Charlie Brown would be revered anywhere...except in his own neighborhood, with kids who have known him since he was a four-year-old runt.

February 20. That's powerful; how often have I felt the same way, like I'm finally winning at the game of life only for a petty flag to be thrown on the play? This is one of the finest Peanuts strips I can recall.
