What an awful youth the writer had! pffff

So far the book is ok. I wished the writer was more straightforward.

It's been a sensuous journey so far.But there's a feeling of finality to the distance that exists between the author and her estranged daughter. The author comes across as a woman who has had a hard time finding her place in the world, her unfulfilled need for motherly love and approval having rendered her incapable of giving it in turn to the daughter herself. Looking forward to the rest of it.
