The church (institution) needs to adapt as society and people have changed. Just as "You cannot be faithful to the Great Commission without being culturally relevant," the church institution needs to realize it should be equipping people to not be passive but active in their participation in ministry. This will be more difficult and messy, but is vital to fulfilling the mission of the Church (the body of Christ).

"We need to go where people are already hanging out and be prepared to have conversations with them about the great love of our lives. This will require our shifting our efforts from growing churches into transforming communities.

They're not coming to us. We've got to go to them."
