The church (institution) needs to adapt as society and people have changed. Just as "You cannot be faithful to the Great Commission without being culturally relevant," the church institution needs to realize it should be equipping people to not be passive but active in their participation in ministry. This will be more difficult and messy, but is vital to fulfilling the mission of the Church (the body of Christ).

And the Pharisees have captured the North American church in many places. It is the expectation of Pharisees that people should adopt the church culture, including its lifestyle, if they want admittance."
