(3) promoting “liberalism and apostasy” according to his “superficial mindset” (p.82)
(4) promoting “some sort of docetic, mechanical dictation view of inspiration” (p.82)
(5) arguing contrary to what “exegesis would demand” (p.82)
(6) “simply misunderstanding predictive language” (p.86)
(7) “ignoring” what specific words and phrases of eschatological statements “actually mean” (p.88)

The clumsy apologetic & hubris of Bryan Hodge is remarkable.
I chuckled once I reached the chapter in which he labels Peter Leithart (of all theologians, and among other preterists) in bizarre ways. I will list twelve of those artificial labels below:

(1) “assuming a superficial view of inspiration” (p.81)
(2) lacking a “robust understanding of inerrancy” (p.82)

The Intro uses a lot of big boy rhetoric and preps the interested reader for tremendous insights to come.
Chapter one puts on a good show for a quick minute like a high school thug in the ring with Mike Tyson.
Round one was amusing.
