Uh well so far most of these aren’t actually haikus… the originals probably were but these translated ones rhyme (which doesn’t make sense lol) and they don’t follow the 5-7-5 structure.
I like the poems, but they’re not authentic I don’t think.

Clearly the translator was given a format expectation that didn't actually involve haiku. At the moment, I'm through the supposed haiku section and into "Odes". Still reading to see if it can actually get worse.
