Ugh this is gonna take me forever to finish. I have only read two books this year so far because these books i get stuck in the middle and get bored and don't make me want to finish the book. I like them at first and in the end but the middle is so hard to stick with. I think think I'm done with this author for a while after i finish this book and the last one in this series.

Okay so i am kinda loosing interest in this book now. In the beginning it was very actioned packed and it kept my attention for most of the beginning. but now that i am in the middle of the book i am starting to loose interest. she gets kidnapped or caught or ambushed so many damn times it is starting to get annoying and there are so many near misses or nearly intimate times I'm starting to get bored.

I do like that at least in this book it is in chronological order from the first one. I found that in the League of guardian series nothing was in really order. For example when they mentioned characters from other stories it was very difficult to tell where in their timeline the current story you were reading fell into. It seems that at least with this series it is at least following each other.

I definitely liked Jagger in the first book, and was a little worried when he disappeared in the jungle. Now, with Skye, I'm liking him even more.

All right, I'm skipping parts now, skimming the paragraphs to get to the end. I can't wait to finish this book - for all the wrong reasons.

It says a lot about the quality of the writing - or rather, lack thereof - if I find myself drifting off to other thoughts while reading a steamy scene... Well, not to be mean, but if I ever need a push to think about my own stories, I'll read one JS's books - what with how often I caught myself drifting off and musing about something else...

Argh, I'm struggling to finish this book. It suffers from a serious case of overdescription.

I take it back about the sentence structure - it is as bad as in the previous book. I'm finding myself waiting for the next "as" in the sentence, which makes it hard to concentrate on the plot. Also, the description is on the heavy side of adjectives and adverbs again. It can be straining to read all that info pressed into one sentence.

Phew, so far, there are less roaming body parts in this one. The sentence structure is still a bit repetitive (A does something AS something else occurs), but not as frequent here. Maybe it'll get better. Hope dies last.
