Status Updates From The Canal

I was tempted to pop this book back in the unread pile, the premise being bizarre and the prose abstract. I couldn't imagine reading 200 pages about boredom. Yet the shifts in the repetitive sequences became intriguing and jarring all at once. There was a visual image that the author places in your brain and I was sitting on that park bench wondering what would enter my periphery next. Disturbing, enticing, bizarre.
