Status Updates From The Green Fairy Book

Absolutely bizarre second story, with a very morbid plot. At first, I thought it was going to be like the Ugly Duckling, but in this case - maybe the ugliness was actually a chicken all along.

Truly bizarre. I think I owned this one as a kid, but I have zero recollection of any of the stories; it’s been so long! The first story, “The Blue Bird”, is truly strange.
