Some people regard UFOs as a relatively modern phenomenon, but history shows they have been reported for thousands of years. In 216BC Julius Obsequens recorded reports of ships seen in the sky over Italy,as did Cicero in the 1st centuryAD.
UFOs became so troublesome in the 8th & 9th centuries that emperor Charlamagne of France was compelled to issue edicts forbidding them from perturbing the air & provoking storms!

Humans appear to be a slave race languishing on an isolated planet in a small galaxy. Once a source of labor for an extraterrestrial civilization, humans remain a possession today.To keep control over its possession that civilization has bred never-ending conflict among humans, spiritual decay, & erected on Earth conditions of unremitting hardship;a situation that has existed for thousands of years & continues today.

This has been on my TBR for over a over a few decades....now, the Joy of retirement! And, at 535 eligible pages it qualifies for our LBC!

For centuries, scientists and philosophers have attempted to solve the riddle of why people go to war. Bramley proposes that some human problems may be rooted in unrecognized & misunderstood phenomena and so, unacknowledged, they are not dealt with. Hmmm, very interesting indeed
