One of the most fascinating endings in any Choose Your Own Adventure, for the implications it carries to every other narrative branch in this book. I love Spooky Thanksgiving; I might go so far as to call it R.A. Montgomery's magnum opus.

My favorite Thanksgiving read, and one of my favorite R.A. Montgomery gamebooks. I'm going to try to read this to a few endings with my mother today! :-) Happy Thanksgiving to you all; I love taking a day to remind myself to be grateful for life and aware of its blessings.

A powerful ending, discovering we may have simply dreamed our entire life in the modern day. That ending is the beating heart of this book's mysterious central current.

Let's go run for help this time, to try and be sure Nick—or "Jacob"—doesn't get trapped in the past.

Hmm...did we actually meet our own ancestor in the Pilgrim days, or is this another piece of the mystery as to what is real and what is illusion in this book?

This time we're first going to try to get Nick back to the modern day. Losing him forever was a sobering end.

That ending is always creepy, realizing our little brother Nick may be gone forever because we didn't prioritize getting him back to the present day.

Starting this book with my mother as lead-in to Thanksgiving! :-) We plan to read an ending per night.

Maybe the best ending in the book, even if its continuity seems out of alignment with alternative endings.

Let's assume the kid isn't actually Nick, and follow Squanto as bidden.

That sure was a trippy ending! The question that lingers: is this ending another example of disrupted continuity in Spooky Thanksgiving, or is it simply the only ending in which you awaken from the future "dream" into reality? Very interesting...

Ha! A great ending punchline. Even if that kid wasn't Nick, it was his resemblance to our brother that got me into hot water!
