Status Updates From Vows, Vendettas and a Littl...

Fawn is the one who shot Dena. She thought she was Mary Ann. She was jealous over Rick loving Mary Ann and not her. Chrissie is the one who reported Amelia. That story came and left with no solution or end. Fawn calls Sophie from jail and tells her she knows Anatoly! She is friends with his wife!! That’s how the book ends.

Amelia is freaking out. She says someone turned her in to the cops as a suspect. They came to talk to her but b/c of her drugs she didn’t let them in and now they suspect her even more. She went shopping at a sporting store that sells guns but she says it was to buy a watch for Kim before his trip. Sophie thinks Anatoly turned Amelia in - he says he didn’t. Mary Ann thinks it’s time to confront Rick!

Sophie gets told she looks like Alicia Keys but only b/c they have the same skin tone. Mary Ann thinks the same must be for Kim. Sophie wonders if he could have shot Dena using a double to travel for him. While at lunch, Rick shows up and begs for Mary Ann’s forgiveness. Sophie tells him off and he leaves. Mary Ann is really upset and doesn’t think shot Dena.

Jason moves in. Sophie thinks it’s b/c of Anatoly wanting him to watch after Sophie, but it was actually Dena who asked Jason to stay with her. Jason is helping with the preparation. Anatoly finally thinks that Rick possibly couldn’t have know Dena was shot so he is going to tell his police contact. He still thinks Amelia could be involved. His body client calls and he has to leave. This client is suspicious.

Anatoly shares some of his past. He was in the Russian army. He had to support his mom & brother. Didn’t make enough $ so he did some dealing on the black market. Being in that situation he had to learn to be secretive. He is going to try to share more. Sophie was so preoccupied with trying to find who shot Dena that she forgot to prep the house and she is coming home tomorrow! Anatoly got everything ready 💗

Chrissy is on board to try to get closer to Fawn to pin the murder on if she did it. But Chrissy thinks Mary Ann needs to be the one to try to set Rick up. She can get close to him more. Make him think she wants to get back together and try to get him to slip on knowing Dena got shot before her name was released in front of the police. The crew of Sophie, Mary Ann, and Marcus are not keen on this plan.

Chrissy is the prime suspect and she needs to get the police looking at the real killer instead of her. The friends can give her Rick and Fawns info. Chrissy can do the investigation for them and they can sit back and watch. Fawn is a taxidermist and Chrissy sits on a Science board. She can contact Fawn about doing some taxidermy work for the board and try to get intel.

Anatoly slept in the guest room. Marcus came by the next morning and brought some of Dena’s things. Mary Ann texted Sophie to come over. It’s an emergency! Rick and Fawn came over to Monty’s house. Mary Ann asks if he shot Dena and he seems surprised as if he didn’t. He came to get Mary Ann’s forgiveness and be friends. Marcus decides they need to get Chrissy’s help.

Anatoly still thinks it was Amelia. He got a hold of Kim and he is coming home. Anatoly can speak Spanish! Sophie thinks it was Rick. Anatoly doesn’t think so, They showed Mary Ann’s apartment on the news and that’s how he knew?? Anatoly wants Jason to stay at the house too for protection. Sophie gets mad and walks away b/c she wants him to share more about his past and sell his apartment. No more secrets!

Sophie remembers how Rick came to the hospital the next morning after Dena had been shot before the news had given her name!! How did he know Dena was shot? Now Rick and his GF, Fawn, are suspects. Sophie isn’t as sure about Chrissy being the one. Why would she shoot Dena 2 weeks after writing an arrival bashing her? Why would she want to make herself a suspect? She’s too calculating to make that mistake.

Mary Ann sees Sophie leaving the hospital. Sophie shares about Dena asking to stay with her when she gets out. This makes Mary Ann sad, she wants to care for Dena. Mary Ann asks Sophie to go on a walk. They go to a near by park. While walking Sophie hears the same ping sound from the night Dena was shot. A gun with a silencer sound. Someone tried to shoot at one of them! Dena may not have been the target after all.

Sophie goes to see Dena. She tells happened with Chrissy & Tim. Dena had no idea he was engaged when they were together. But Tim is still infatuated with her. Tim shows up at the hospital. Tim says Chrissy couldn’t have shot Dena b/c her aim is horrible but if Chrissy went for her head/ Dena got shot in the back, makes sense. He also hit her last month during a role playing they did. He likes the stuff Dena does.

Sophie goes to Tim’s bail hearing. She wants to talk to him and explain she hit Chrissy. Dena calls Sophie and says she stood up. She won’t need braces to walk but a walker. Dena wants Sophie to come to the hospital to talk about something. Sophie seems Tim. He tells her he hit Chrissy about a month ago. Chrissy forbid him from seeing Dena but he didn’t honor that. He wants to go see Dena at the hospital.

Sophie didn’t get arrested for punching Chrissy b/c she called the cops and said her husband Tim hit her! And Tim confessed that he did it! What?! These 2 are crazy. Chrissy thinks Tim and Deena are still sleeping together. 2 months ago she saw Tim go into Dena’s shop. Sophie even tried calling the police but Detective Lorenzo doesn’t believe her from past times she has lied to and interfered with police.

Sophie and Leah go to Marcus’ apartment after to avoid the police who is probably going to get Sophie for punching Chrissie. Mary Ann is there too. They took Dena’s parents to the airport b/c her mom and her had a fight. Dena’s mom said she had this coming! Leah asks to plan Mary Ann’s wedding but she says she wants to get married at Disneyland!

Sophie has Leah set up a meeting with Chrissie. They go to her house but Chrissie knows the really reason they are there. She wrote the article slamming Dena & wants to know if she shot her. Chrissie says she didn’t shot Dena but glad someone did cause of what she did to her husband. Tim’s dad is a preacher & Chrissie is protecting him thinking he wants to leave her for Dena. Sophie punches her in the face.

Amelia comes to the hospital to see Dena but Jason sees her first and he is very mad. He had called Amelia the night Dena got shot and she didn’t come to see her until 2 days later. Amelia leaves. Sophie tries to console her. Amelia feels like Kim and Jason love Dena and like her more. She is jealous of Dena. An old client of Anatoly’s keeps calling him from NY but he isnt answering. Sophie is jealous and mad.

Leah thinks she knows who may have shot Dena. Chrissie Powell. Founder of MAAP. Is against the shop Dena owns and also doesn’t like Dena b/c apparently Dena slept with Chrissie’s husband Tim while they were engaged. A week before Dena was shot, Chrissie wrote a horrible article of how people would be better without Dena and her shop. Leah is on a committee with Chrissie and Sophie asks her to connect them.

Sophie goes to see Dena. She is awake. The doctor says she may not be able to walk again without braces or a walker. Mary Ann’s ex Rick comes to visit. He said he was watching the news and heard Dena had been shot. He cheated on Mary Ann with Fawn. Sophie‘s sister Leah comes to visit. She heard the news story but no names were given and called Anatoly to get info. I think Rick did it! He knew it was Dena? How?

Sophie goes to get Dena some flowers at the shop Amelia works at. She and Kim are on vacation out of the country. When Sophie walks in the shop she sees Amelia working! She seems nervous to see Sophie. Sophie tells her what happened with Dena and she gets really upset and starts babbling. Was an odd interaction.

Dena is in surgery. The bullet went into part of her spinal cord. Mary Ann called everyone. Jason is there and Monty. Along with Anatoly. Dena’s other boyfriend Kim and girlfriend Amelia are away on vacation. Marcus is there too. Sophie asks Anatoly to help her find who did this to Dena. The person came through the front door and shot Dena in the back.

Mary Ann calls Sophie and Dena over. She has gotten engaged to Monty. The guy she dated in the 3rd book, Rick Wilkes, had cheated on her and he keeps calling her. Sophie goes to the kitchen to get champagne and hears a loud bang. Comes out and Dena is lying on the floor with a gun shot wound.
