Fawn is the one who shot Dena. She thought she was Mary Ann. She was jealous over Rick loving Mary Ann and not her. Chrissie is the one who reported Amelia. That story came and left with no solution or end. Fawn calls Sophie from jail and tells her she knows Anatoly! She is friends with his wife!! That’s how the book ends.

Amelia is freaking out. She says someone turned her in to the cops as a suspect. They came to talk to her but b/c of her drugs she didn’t let them in and now they suspect her even more. She went shopping at a sporting store that sells guns but she says it was to buy a watch for Kim before his trip. Sophie thinks Anatoly turned Amelia in - he says he didn’t. Mary Ann thinks it’s time to confront Rick!

Sophie gets told she looks like Alicia Keys but only b/c they have the same skin tone. Mary Ann thinks the same must be for Kim. Sophie wonders if he could have shot Dena using a double to travel for him. While at lunch, Rick shows up and begs for Mary Ann’s forgiveness. Sophie tells him off and he leaves. Mary Ann is really upset and doesn’t think shot Dena.

Jason moves in. Sophie thinks it’s b/c of Anatoly wanting him to watch after Sophie, but it was actually Dena who asked Jason to stay with her. Jason is helping with the preparation. Anatoly finally thinks that Rick possibly couldn’t have know Dena was shot so he is going to tell his police contact. He still thinks Amelia could be involved. His body client calls and he has to leave. This client is suspicious.

Anatoly shares some of his past. He was in the Russian army. He had to support his mom & brother. Didn’t make enough $ so he did some dealing on the black market. Being in that situation he had to learn to be secretive. He is going to try to share more. Sophie was so preoccupied with trying to find who shot Dena that she forgot to prep the house and she is coming home tomorrow! Anatoly got everything ready 💗

Chrissy is on board to try to get closer to Fawn to pin the murder on if she did it. But Chrissy thinks Mary Ann needs to be the one to try to set Rick up. She can get close to him more. Make him think she wants to get back together and try to get him to slip on knowing Dena got shot before her name was released in front of the police. The crew of Sophie, Mary Ann, and Marcus are not keen on this plan.

Chrissy is the prime suspect and she needs to get the police looking at the real killer instead of her. The friends can give her Rick and Fawns info. Chrissy can do the investigation for them and they can sit back and watch. Fawn is a taxidermist and Chrissy sits on a Science board. She can contact Fawn about doing some taxidermy work for the board and try to get intel.

Anatoly slept in the guest room. Marcus came by the next morning and brought some of Dena’s things. Mary Ann texted Sophie to come over. It’s an emergency! Rick and Fawn came over to Monty’s house. Mary Ann asks if he shot Dena and he seems surprised as if he didn’t. He came to get Mary Ann’s forgiveness and be friends. Marcus decides they need to get Chrissy’s help.

Anatoly still thinks it was Amelia. He got a hold of Kim and he is coming home. Anatoly can speak Spanish! Sophie thinks it was Rick. Anatoly doesn’t think so, They showed Mary Ann’s apartment on the news and that’s how he knew?? Anatoly wants Jason to stay at the house too for protection. Sophie gets mad and walks away b/c she wants him to share more about his past and sell his apartment. No more secrets!

Sophie remembers how Rick came to the hospital the next morning after Dena had been shot before the news had given her name!! How did he know Dena was shot? Now Rick and his GF, Fawn, are suspects. Sophie isn’t as sure about Chrissy being the one. Why would she shoot Dena 2 weeks after writing an arrival bashing her? Why would she want to make herself a suspect? She’s too calculating to make that mistake.
