These novellas usually mean the pacing is razor sharp. Stout has to get in, get out, entertain with his cast of characters and develop a suitable mystery.

The second one hit all the marks. Nero Wolfe hires a double to protect him from a murder. I don’t really get why everything happened, but it was pretty good.
