Still one of the clearest and most readable textbooks I have. It would have been better as the centerpiece of one of my chemistry or physics courses rather than a side resources as I recall it was.

He has such a beautifully direct way of describing basic quantum mechanics.

I wish my chemistry prof had gotten out of McQuarrie's way and followed the book more.

The first third or so of this book was just a review of basic quantum mechanics. Now I'm getting to some new content - understanding diatomic molecules as the quantum harmonic oscillators. No complaints so far, except the usual ones (e.g. that books like this should use the statistical interpretation instead of Copenhagen).
