I was enjoying the book.

Then I lost the book.

'You can now find fresh rabbit in most American supermarkets.' Uh, no, you can't. And if this is not true now, I hardly think it was true in 1986.

#SpringHorror A better title would have been "Frugal Gourmet Cooks with Olive Oil." I think every single recipe in this book calls for olive oil.

Yeah, don't come running to me for help when Cthulhu hunts you down and kicks your ass.

#SpringHorror I very much doubt that this book contains a single recipe I can use as-is. I'm saving the ones I think I can revise to fit our needs, and so far I have saved one. And let me tell you, it's not that tempting, considering Trader Joe's sells zucchini fritters by the box.

To say that the alcohol evaporates when cooking, without leaving any in the food, is an oversimplification. I'm all for cooking with alcohol, but if I am serving to somebody who cannot tolerate it for any reason, I won't risk it.
