If we can give, we should, if we are in need, we shouldn’t feel afraid to receive. That is the cycle of community.

If we, as Americans, consider ourselves as essentially benevolent, living amongst absolute affluence, why do we draw such vivid lines between citizens and non when determining who should be helped. National boundaries have encouraged a form of brutality and dehumanization wherein the non-American is seen as less worthy of receiving assistance when in need. How do we change this perception?!
