Strangers on a Train: Powerful stuff! The twisted inner monologues reminded me a lot of both Stephen King and E.A. Poe, where the latter seemed to have quite the influence on the depiction of the second murder. It did go on for way longer than I expected though: The tension just kept rising until I got almost numb to it which made the point where the story ended feel kind of arbitrary. Maybe that was the point? 4.5/5

Strangers on a Train is first in this collection. Bruno’s campaign to get Guy to murder his dad has me soooo stressed out I have to keep on putting this down and walking away from time to time. Bruno is lowk ruining this man’s life and I’m ready for Guy to just do it and make it all stop
