This feels so silly and unnecessary. If you don't want to lie, just don't tell him anything. Why are you spilling any secrets, why are you pretending he doesn't know? Why not just say: I won't tell you or stay silent? Why do I feel like Bruiser was tossed on purpose to interrogate you???

This I don't like - Jane was supposed to be an employee, a trusted expert, instead she is being offered like... the vamps dislike her, Leo is moving her around like a chess piece, the new cats are being weird and rude... Why is she there? I think the retainer brings more trouble than is worth.

I am so confused - last book, everything about vamps' history was a secret - mentioning Sons of Darkness almost got Jane killed and the Blood Cross is literally the only one in existence and even more secret since it reveals their shameful origins. And now they're just throwing those words in a public conversation? In a pretty revealing manner? With cameras present? And weres?

How, exactly, can she see his butt?? How can you see someone's butt if they face you?? This is NOT the first time she said it. You didn't think I'd notice. I did.

Th Beast POV's are still not my favourite but I gotta say, the narrator really nails the vibe.

Aaand let me guess, Beast is going to complain about humans and their noises and smells and behaviour, then complain about "dead meat" and proper hunting before acquiescing because she is a hungry gal. Sigh.

This feels mean a bit but if I have to listen to the description of her change and the "we call it a snake, now people call it DNA or RNA" I am going to punch something. I get that some information has to be repeated, reader's memory refreshed or whatever, not everyone is going to binge-read it but it's only book 3 and I am already feeling it. Gahr.
