Oh my. Oooh my. Why do I feel like this? Old Leo... may be... back? And that may be making me... way too happy? I mean, come on, Rick was the love interest from the epilogue of book 2 to like, chapter 1. Harsh, but feels true. I am ready to move on. And if she has to go for something... I liked old Leo. And, call me shallow but going for the master or his human right-hand?

This feels so silly and unnecessary. If you don't want to lie, just don't tell him anything. Why are you spilling any secrets, why are you pretending he doesn't know? Why not just say: I won't tell you or stay silent? Why do I feel like Bruiser was tossed on purpose to interrogate you???

That kiss? That was not okay. Whatever else is happening, it wasn't ok.

Finally, we're getting somewhere. This is what Jane should be - the voice of reason that can mediate between conflicting interests and politics.

This I don't like - Jane was supposed to be an employee, a trusted expert, instead she is being offered like... the vamps dislike her, Leo is moving her around like a chess piece, the new cats are being weird and rude... Why is she there? I think the retainer brings more trouble than is worth.
