Status Updates From The Noise Within

I am at a crossroads on how I would feel about this book so far.

It has been quite a ride up and down the roller coaster, and it has not quite reached what I have expected it to be. I feel biased since I personally know the author and have raised my expectations on his book.

Wow! Liking this a lot so far. Definitely reminding me of Peter F Hamilton's stuff.

Pacing issues and awkward exposition marred the first half of the book. On to the 2nd!
