This book had too many triggers for me so I just skipped through it until I could assure myself there was a happyish ending and now I’m gonna dnf.

I am not entirely how far in I am cuz I'm listening to audio, but I am surprised by how much I have liked it so far.

This book is killing me. And not in a good way. UGH

This guy is a total git and he drives me crazy, but I like Oliver, so I am going to keep trying for a while yet.

The thing about this series is...it really helps to have each book fresh in your mind. I'm gonna put this one on hold until I have had a chance to re-read the first couple of books in the series.

I usually love Lucy Lennox’s books, but sometimes the level of unnecessary drama spikes my anxiety and I just can’t deal. Dnf.

dnf, a little too intense for me.

For some reason, when I picture Riley and Jack, I end up thinking of the mental images I have for Logan and Tate from the Try series by Ella Frank. The characters have nothing in common except for looks, but it's like the same actors playing different roles. Does that even make sense? Oh well.

As much as I like this series, I may have to put this book on hold until I can actually focus on it. For some reason, I just can't seem to get into it.

OMG. I read in the reviews that this read like a gay soap opera, but seriously, the DRAMA!!!! It is making it hard for me to concentrate on working instead of devouring my book!

I was really not okay with Michael agreeing to going bare without having first discussed his job as a sex surrogate. Michael knows he hasn't had any penetrative sex lately, but if <spoiler> WHEN </spoiler> James finds out about his other job, he is going to feel super betrayed.

Man, this romance hit the ground running.

There were people mentioned in this book that felt like they had more stories to come. Like chaz and raf. Or the baker brothers. Anyone know if they have their own stories yet? Or are they just in depth side characters?

I don't know why, cuz I usually love M.A. Innes books, but I'm just not in the mood for this one. It is probably a really good book, but if I force myself to keep reading it, I will end up not giving a fair review. So, although it is "dnf" it is more like, "on-hold" for now.

I like this books, but somehow can’t get into it. I hate to just stop a book halfway through, but I feel like if I force myself to go through the whole thing it will decrease my enjoyment in it.

These guys kind of remind me of Shawn and Burton from the show Psych! Like, they HAVE to be silly all the time in order to deal with the trauma of whatever is happening around them. Except, these guys have way more sexual tension.

I LOVE this book so hard!

This is a seriously suspenseful novel. I came in for Alice Winter's known for snark and I am being caught unawares by absolute terror of a villain unlike what I have read before. If I didn't like her books so much I would quit now, because criminal minds stuff has never been my jam. Thankfully, there is just enough snark for me to keep going for a little longer.
