Glad to see Wyn works as a POV character too. Doesn't feel too human, and his sulking is hilarious and endearing without being ooc.

So, I'm reading these two sci-fi(ish) books where one of the MCs is a captive and sole survivor of a mayhem, and the other MC saves them. And there's an instant connection. Not the best way to read stories simultaneously and keep them separate in my head.

And now both of them are at 69 % too.

Fucking finally they said it aloud. How they were taking advance of Ghost and not caring enough about his safety. I was getting quite mad.

These two read to one another and stare into each others' eyes. It is cute, and not that far from the smushiness from the previous books either, but I am still amused that this is what this post-apocalyptic monster romance delivers.

Loving how Ghost is instantly jelly when the creepy monster seems to like his friend better. Yes, this is exactly why I am reading these books.

This book is immediately crazy! Thrown into action where I have no clue what's happening.

One MC says to their boss: “You lick your girlfriend's ass with that tongue?” WHAAAAAT. What kind of workplace is this? I'm choking.

The second MC has an acronym for a name. Bryan Ignacio Frederiksen the Fourth aka Biff, BIFF. Oh my god.

Oh. My. God. What is it going to take for the MC to realise he really does not need to return to military? Why is this taking so long? He doesn't even want to and is moaning about it. JUST. DON'T. Sheesh.

Yeah. I have no control. I finally put this book down around 7 in the morning. Luckily it's an evening shift, but still not a full night of sleep. And I already read more during my lunch break. 🤡

Our plucky journalist doen't much care for rich dudes. There's a nice undercurrent of humour that fits his personality. Meeting an heir called Tjofabier F. Raberding, sheesh. 😂

I couldn't help myself. This was been waiting for a reread for a long while and after polishing up Perilous Courts finally, and reading another book that reminded me a lot of the book 1 in this series, I couldn't hold back.

I wanted to reread the whole trilogy but this one is my favourite, and I decided to see how it works as a standalone, now that I don't have a good recollection of the plot anymore.

I had work today so I didn't want to start this at all yesterday when I knew I'd need to stop midway. But now I will finally get to the conclusion of this lovely series.

I'm happy I'm not a blusher.

Gabe is lovely with Liza and the interactions with Tor are delightful, but I had to go back and make a diagram of the 27 damn cousins.

The MC is immediately thrown into a damn family outing with multiple generations. For Wendy Palmer I will suffer through this, but I think I will need to draw a family tree.

This is the first one of the series (and from this author) I picked up as an audiobook and it has been really easy to follow the narration, just like I thought. And it has even been a while I visited this world the last time.

Don't mind me, I'm here just googling 'penile sheath' and other interesting things...

So, this one seems to very much continue from book 6, so damn. These might work as standalone, but they aren't standalone for my standards. But when I realised this, I was too invested already. I want to get to the end and not tackle a whole another book before getting there.

I am hooked and feeling so indignant. This is extremely rapey though, would not recommend widely.

It seems the audio service has the series order effed up, but I already started this, and it seems to be a standalone, as well as the real book 7. So, weee!
