It doesn’t look like I’ll meet my reading goal this year. 2025 has been perilous. I lost a soulmate dog to cancer, my first dog as an adult passed away due to an illness that took her way sooner than we thought it would. I am not usually big on new years, but I am ready for a fresh start with hopefully less heartache. Despite not reading 52 books, I am proud of me for surviving and still reading!

I have updated my profile to indicate this as well! Note: if you are a man and we have no friends in common, you don’t engage with substance on my reviews, you only (or mostly) have women friends and you friend me, you will be ignored. This is a no drama platform!

Great so far. Multiple points of view. Well developed characters. Pooley is becoming a fave author!

Wow. What a great read so far!

In case you haven’t noticed, I’m adding lots of memoirs written by tough women, with a focus on Canadian authors. I’m driving from Vancouver Island, BC, to Saskatchewan alone in September for a transformative retreat. I plan to soak up this type of reading along the way.
