Hi friends, I’m sorry I haven’t really been online lately. My little brother was in a horrible accident where almost 80% of his body was burned.
He’s been in the hospital for weeks but has now finally recovered enough for us to be sure he will survive❤️
I obviously haven’t felt much motivation for reading in this time, but when my brother is home and feeling better again, I’m sure I’ll be back💗

If he calls her “luv” or “Kitten” or “pet” one more time, I swear I’m going to scream. I’m all for nicknames, but there really is such a thing as overdoing it💀

I swear, this kid is getting on my goddamn nerves. If I were Circe I would have left him to the wolves long ago; I wouldn’t care if he were my son or not. He’s an ungrateful little brat😐

Circe has got to be the most passive and naive person on the planet. Sis really needs to grow a spine soon, because it’s getting hard to watch. I know from the OG story that she’ll become a badass, but I wish I could speed up the progress for her.
I just really want to slap everyone else in this story cus they are all the literal WORST.
That doesn’t mean this book isn’t good though, cus omg, it definitely is!

My hatred for Chaol is unmatched at this point. This man is getting on my nerves and I need him to be put in his place. He truly makes my blood boil with the way he treats Aelin. Urgh😫 How did the man who loved her so tenderly turn into a man who disrespects her so severly?😐 I don’t think I’ll ever forgive him.
Can we please get Rowan back? I miss him, and I really hope he’ll join Aelin again soon

I hate to say it, but.. so far this has been terribly underwhelming. Perhaps it’s because I am already very familair with what DID is, but nothing all that interesting seems to be happening here. It is all very repetitive and even a little simple. I’m actually kinda bored. I expected more. Also… I don’t really understand why Vaugh is so in love with Oryn. Their connection seems awkward, fragile and sooo slow

Did Mona really just forgive Rain? Just like that? Yea okay, Rain was obviously super sorry, and she’s willing to make a giant sacrifice, but I’m still fucking butthurt over what she did..🙁

Oh my fucking god. I cannot believe what just happened. Everything Rain’s done in the past might have made her a bitch but this is absolutely unforgivable. I hate her so much. Literally want to punch her in the face. I know the book is going to end up with her and Mona back together, but I wish it didn’t. She doesn’t deserve anything, let alone the girl she betrayed. Urgh. Fuck her

I don’t even get what Rain has to “think about” when it comes to this situation. Even if Mona and her were to eventually break up, would that be reasone enough for her to betray Mona’s trust and give her up to her awful family? How selfish is she!

Oh okay great, so apparently Rain is back to being an absolute bitch. I swear to god, if she even remotely THINKS about giving in to her family and giving Mona up, then i can no longer ship them EVER. Honestly, Mona deserves better anyway😐

Oh. My. God. THEY ARE SUCH PIECES OF SHIT! How on earth can I ever support Mona ending up with this terrible MC? They just want to hand her off, just like that? I swear to god, the only way I accept this book has a happy ending is if Rain and Mona both leave these toxic arseholes, and start a life of their own. I hate these men so goddamn much😐 the AUDACITY

Urgh they really are super cute together. I love Mona and I’m so happy that Rain seems to adore the ground she walks on. So despite Rain being a bitch at the beginning, I like her now! I’m really enjoying this book so far! :)

Ahh okay, here we go! Finally there’s coming some pining from Rain. I hope she’ll continue to treat Mona with reverence from now on😌

Okay, so apparen we’re just going to gloss over what a terrible person Rain was to Mona just now? Mona didn’t even get angry? Rain doesn’t feel guilty? We’re just IGNORING it?💀💀 wtf
I really hope they’re going to let Mona and Rain spend a lot of time connecting with each other, because so far I’m not feeling the love😕

Both of them just randomly professed their love while up until two seconds ago their was nothing but sex (and even hatred from Severn’s side) between them. Oookay, lovely; totally not random and underdeveloped😐

Ugh jesus, i am so over Severn’s annoying inner monologue. Dude just goes back and forth, back and forth. Make up your mind: do you hate Mikhail and want to kill him or do you want to suck his face, fueled by lust?🙄

Although I can at least now follow what is going in, I’m still not enjoying it. The relationship development in this is literally awful. They went from zero to a hundred, and it’s complete “insta-lust”. I really hope this will get better, because thus far I’m disappointed..

I’m not going to lie, I have absolutely no clue what is even going on. The writing and plot is all over the place. I’m honestly utterly confused and therefore bored most of the time.. I want to like it, though! So I’ll soldier on😅

It’s been really slow-going so far. Nothing’s happening and I can’t say I’m invested yet. It’s also extremely repetitive and even a bit frustrating, since all that’s happening is just Eddie being confused and reaching out to Bishop, while Bishop refuses to acknowledge the truth. Seriously how hard can it be to just say “yes I KNOW YOU”

No but seriously, how DARE they treat Dex like this. I’m not only annoyed, I’m almost angry on his behalf. If Oskar is going to be the person the next book is about they’re really gonna have to stop making him be such an arsehole to Dex, because I hate the guy right now. And Tripp just lets him talk to Dex like that?? I’m sorry but Dex is innocent and totally in the right. They all need to.. gtfo or something

I honestly feel so bad for Dex. He is so sweet and everyone is kind of mean to him. It’s not his fault Tripp’s in love with him, and he’s entirely clueless about it; so why’s everyone giving him such bad vibes. It’s almost starting to become annoying😅

Hmm this isn’t.. good.
The story doesn’t make any sense whatsoever; I mean, why on earth would Lauren become Jess’ coach??
And the relationship is very forced and isn’t based on anything real. It’s all more of a childhood fantasy. Their first date was so stiff and they only talked about fencing.
I also don’t like Lauren’s martyr attitude or Jess’ lack of a personality other than “i want lauren”.

*sigh* i’m really not feeling this so far. The suspense is dragging, the romance is underdeveloped and insta-lovey, and the characters kind of annoy me. I feel no connection to this yet😢

What on earth is happening right now💀😭 how- why- but- IS HE SERIOUSLY PRETENDING TO BE A CAT RIGHT NOW??😩 is this going to be a… kitty kink?😐 I cannot take that seriously lmao
But okay okay, I’ll just try to get over it right now, hope it won’t be a big deal throughout the rest of the book, and enjoy everything else. I mean, I really am digging all the other stuff in this book, so…

Seriously!! I ship Harper and Grey!! WHAT THE HELL!? This is confusing me so much, because I know she’s gonna fall in love with Rhen?? But I can literally not care any less about Rhen; I don’t even particularly like him😐

If it weren’t for the fact that this is a beauty and the beast retelling and we’re quite literally reading from Rhen’s POV half the time, I would think Harper was gonna end up with Grey instead of him. I cannot be the only one who thinks they’ve had much more chemistry so far😬 Seriously, Harper spends much more time with Grey and they have all the cutesy or banter moments💀
