@Huda — Thank you, sweetheart!!❤️ He’s really doing much better already. He’s outside of any life-threatening danger now, and he’s already been awake and talking for a while now! He still has a long way to go, but I’m just so happy he’s still with us and that he’s been so strong throughout all of this; I’m really very proud of him❤️

@Via — Thank you💗💗 He’ll make the best recovery he can, I’m sure! He’ll always have scars and he lost a few of his fingers, but after some heavy physical therapy in the future, they told us he will be able to walk again and do almost everything the way he used to💗

@Dann — It’s something I never expected to happen, ever. It’s one of those things you know happens to a few very unfortunate people, but not something that will ever happen to someone you know and love! Until it does happen… I still haven’t really processed it, and I break down each time I think about what my sweet brother is going through right now, but at least he’s going to make it and will keep getting better and better❤️

Yes he is alive and that is all that matters. I hope he gets through this harsh time of his life easily. I just saw he is 17 and my heart hurts more.

His family and friends will always be here for him, but I feel like we’re all gaining the most support from how STRONG he is HIMSELF! He is so inspiring, and I continue to be in awe of the way he’s been through all of this. He is still the kindest, sweetest boy on the planet, whereas I feel like I would be nothing but angry and upset if I were him in that situation!!

@Sonja — It’s been a complete nightmare, but he truly has more strength than anyone I’ve ever seen and he will surely make it through his recovery the best he can💗💗 He’s also so young at 17, which makes this all the more awful for him mentally, but it does mean that his his body will heal better because of that❤️

I can’t take away his pain or his struggles, even though I so wish I could… I truly believe he has the strength to get through this though, and he’s already doing so well considering everything that’s happened❤️

@elena — Thank you, love!💗 It really is exactly like that; even in the moments when I can’t be with him at the hospital, I still just can’t find the energy or motivation to dive into some fictional story right now. My mind is simply fully occupied with thoughts about him and what’s happened… How can I think about anything else when my baby brother was fighting for his life for weeks, and now fighting for the future ability to do something as mundane as walk…!? He’ll heal, I know he will, but the journey is just so hard and painful for him; it’s breaking my heart every day.

@Morgan — Thank you, sweetheart!❤️ It truly is a traumatizing experience, and I do think I might eventually ask for some professional help, especially to get the accident itself out of my head. I’m really glad that my brother at least doesn’t seem to remember the accident itself happening or the first few weeks in the hospital, so that’s a small mercy, because truly… having to remember all that happening to you would be horrible😭
