I don't even know what's happening in this fight scene. So confusing.

All the secondary and background characters are flat and empty.

What the hell!? A page ago, they were both not on board with sex for several good reasons, but now they're jumping each other???!!!
With no discussion, I might add!

Now the mc is bragging about his writing ability and friends are asking how he does it. He can't explain of course, because this writer can't write well.

Ok, so this is not good writing. It reads like a teenager's first attempt. I dunno if I can do this.

The one scene has Koichi remind his sister (as you know, bob) that he's an introvert, but the next scene he's instantly friends with a stranger. Huh.

They ate cheesecake in bed, then fell asleep without brushing teeth. Gross.

Ugh. I give up.

I don't know these characters yet, and the writing is so emotionally charged. It feels like it's trying to make me feel something for a death that means nothing to me.

This is really very melodramatic.

She wants to shoot someone for insulting her? I just can't with this.

"she balanced on the balustrade and slid down the railing. With a practiced move, she jumped to the floor before she hit the ornate end post, and flung open the front door."

I'm having so much trouble getting into this. I can't tell anyone apart and the head jumping is giving me whiplash.

Wait, this isn't always in first person? "I" is sometimes "Cat." So confusing!

I keep forgetting this is first person narrative. The narration tells us exactly what everyone is feeling, which is third person omniscient, then suddenly, we get an "I". Also, this part has way too much description of everyone's physical appearance.

"The planet was already turning away from its sun, so they’d need to look for whatever they had to look at night."
....what?

"She wanted to say she was sorry for making him move his hand away from her, but she wasn’t sure how to word it."
Clearly the author also doesn't know how to word it, because this is SUCH an awkward sentence
