It’s an interesting enough story but I’m reading it so superficially - I just cannot get drawn into it. It’s very lackluster.

A drag to get into bc it’s so similar to the Channing Tatum perfume movie on that island.

Super hard to get into and relate to

Got thru 70% really fast - it’s enjoyable

Omg this book is so good from page 1 that I want to curl up alone in the house on a rainy day and dissolve into it for a day.

It’s ok. If I hadn’t read Manacled first then I would have stopped reading by now. The author tried too hard to change the magic system so it wasn’t similar to HP and instead made it inaccessible and the names etc are just confounding. I don’t care about any of them and the romance is not as believable and the quotes don’t hit as hard.

Funny. Reminiscent of DMATMOOBIL but it takes a long while to get them together and there’s not much of it and I wound up bored 75% of the way thru and skimming.

Wedding Wars was amusing. I hate when Draco’s obligation makes him go ahead and nearly marry someone besides Hermione and would’ve preferred she insist on him staying engaged and then find out at the end Ron and Astoria had fallen in love too.

Sacramentum was ok. I liked the supportive and parental Malfoys but it still missed with Hermione’s aftercare of Draco from Azkaban and all of the separation and trial and politics stuff (not for me).

Liked Sugar and Smoke Rings. Very well written. Like Amortentia or whatever it’s called. Like when Draco doesn’t know he likes her.

First 50% was good, light, refreshing with likable Malfoy but then it turned into dirty talk USA and how Draco is going to prison and Hermione will fight it and the same crap I never enjoy.

Placeholder for Shack or Shriek, short, not good.

Highly forgettable. Read it for a few days, took a few days off and forgot the whole plot. Draco and Hermione moments are not frequent and the overall plot is very weak. It ended on an abrupt note and the author later added an epilogue that also wasn’t satisfying.

The Auction was better in every conceivable way

Wow this book is inaccessible. I read the Auction and it was great but the world building was done for them. The world building in this is terrible. Why does she need to be a princess? Why are all the names and magic systems so outlandish and hard to follow? Could she not just leave it as the magical vs the muggles using diff words? It is so painfully hard to read and unenjoyable that I’m skimming.

Funny for about half the book but then got ridiculous and way too out there with the muggle world elements and sex parties- couldn’t deal and eventually skimmed to finish.

This is like the Auction and has to be where the idea came from except the Malfoy are evil and Draco is horrendous at first
