I'm glad to see that we weren't put in a completely new PoV for 1/3 of the book, before getting back to familiar characters.

Frustrated with the changing rules of magic in this series. We've gone from "OMG! The wind smudged a ward! We're all going to die!" To people drawing wards in air like some Harry Potter or Elantris shit. Just because it's fantasy doesn't mean that there shouldn't be consistent laws governing the universe.

Good book so far, but half way through chapter 14 in the audible recording, there's a strange background noise that sounds like someone spanking the monkey. It's like a rapid fleshy tapping quietly behind the narrator's voice.

The writing isn't bad but... None of these PoV shifts seems to have any relationship to each other. I'm not a huge fan of this format. The only pattern seems to be that one character from a previous story make a cameo when they are a few decades older in each PoV shift. There's no through line.

Not sure the exact page since I'm listening to the audio book... Things were going so well then suddenly "Whoa! Insta-Love!" Where did that declaration come from?

Decent story, but the grammar errors are driving me nuts.

This guy either hates pronouns, or is the victim of a prank where someone did a find and replace of the word "she" for "the beautiful woman."

Every time a woman enter's the story: defined as pretty or beautiful, contemplation of whether she's interested in the protagonist or not, and if the protagonist wants a thing with her. Thereafter they are known as "the beautiful/pretty girl" or "The beauty." It's getting old.

These books often read like the author had read nothing but Russian translated LitRPGs before trying his hand at writing. So many of the awkward translations from Russian have been carried over into the author's style.

These books need tags before each section that indicate whether or not they can be skipped. The adventure parts are okay, but all the awkward flirting and objectifying descriptions leave me continually rolling my eyes. After the first two books I knew what I was getting into, but I just can't get over how bad at least 1/3 of these books are.

Why is everything described as "savage?" People, animals, blows... always savage... Need to work on these echoes.

So many run on sentences. The poor audible narrator sounds like he's running out of breath. I think this needed a bit more editing. Also... Is it me or have some of the protagonists' personalities changed since the first book?

... Also... why is everyone so eager to die? Seems like there'd be no population left with everyone constantly threatening to commit suicide or actually doing it.

Enjoying the listen, but this is one of the few books that make me want to switch back and forth with other novels in different genres due to the length.

Average so far. All the sex jokes and banter are getting old, but there aren't as many of them as the really dreadful novels. OK I get it, there are protagonists in relationships. They flirt (awkwardly). What is it about fantasy world and VR that makes so many of these authors think "Let's crack wise about bums, boobs, and monster hoses."

Okay story so far, but I have to think of it as fantasy rather than historical fiction in order to derive enjoyment from this. Too many inaccuracies.

I don't get the point of any of this. There's no plot, no stakes, no emotions in the characters to identify with. The first 2.5 hours of this audiobook is like a sitting in a linguistics/history class about a world that's not real, that we have no reason to care about. This book is failing hard on the "So what?" scale. I'll give it a little longer, but this might be a DNF.

2% in This guy love descriptions of guns and ammo more than, descriptions of the protagonist or the people around him. This is going to be a long listen.

If I did a shot of vodka every time "insane" or "insanely" was used, I'd be in a coma.

Whhhhyyy Is everything "insane" or "Insanely?" Seriously, there are almost no other adjectives or adverbs in this book. Whether it be long, complicated, painful or whatever it's 'insane' or 'insanely.' The editing process was insanely rushed on this one. (See what I did there?)

Listening to Audible version.... Is this a text to speech recording? It's all monotone and robotic. It seems like someone just changed the pitch for dialogue.

I can't take the background noise anymore. Saving it for when I get desperate for a LitRPG and have nothing else to listen to.

I don't see the point of this book. No one has any driving goals. It's basically a teenage boy sex fantasy with occasional trips to kill monsters.

Decided to give the series another shot. REgretting it so far. This book is frustrating. So much potential, but ruined by horrible attempts at humor that pop up every few lines. This would be solid 4 stars if not for all the all the annoying Trump/fart jokes, etc.
