Just not feeling it. The FMC is too annoying to me. She's too cocky for my liking.

After the first 23% of the book, I was indifferent to the story. Almost a quarter of the book spans over 1 evening when they meet. By the time the next morning started, I had to pause and move on to another book. I did go back but just couldn't keep going. I love a good workplace romance but I'm not a fan of it being in the medical field usually. I tried a bit longer only to find I just couldn't keep going.

It hasn’t been said what secret Raine has but it’s alluded to as she interacts with others and internal dialogue. I’m almost 20% in and can tell she was SA’d that shes keeping secret. Unfortunately, this is one trope I cannot do. SA isn’t a no go for me but when the FMC keeps it a secret from someone she’s so close to, for 7 years in this case, I just really struggle. I had to DNF due to this.

Four chapters in, 35 pages read and I’ve cried 3 times already. Boy what am I in for with this one?
