This book... just annoying enough to keep me away from it but not enough to just give up. Yet.

What a slog-fest. I cannot stand Beth.... she is so unlikeable, so completely out of touch, it doesn't read like shock. I hope whoever took Ben is a better parent. This is a drama? Only drama here is if I'm going to light this book on fire or not.

Page 56--I've stopped and started this book twice now. I cannot stand Beth the mother... am I supposed to think she is in shock or just an unlikeable moron? This was an Oprah book club book?!!! Was Oprah paid off?!!!

This book seems to have vanished. It was shedding pages like cat hair and now all I can find are the shed pages. Hmmmm....

Lots of words in this books, words after words making long wordy sentences. I'm mostly enjoying this book but I worry I'm stuck in some time/space/novel continuum and I'll never get out.

Any bets on if I finish this trash?
