Impossible; for how many people did you know that refracted your own light to you? People were more often—he searched for a similie, found one in his work—torches, blazing away until they whiffed out. How rarely did other people's faces take of you and throw back to you your own expression, your own innermost trembling thought?

I…really need to learn a lesson about reading books because I liked the adapted ROMANCE show. 😭😭😭

Why are these books always so heavy on the “omg, he’s so hot” crap? 😩 Ugh.

Welp, a first for me: this book had me genuinely enjoying cozy fantasy!

Ugggghh, it’s so obvious.

I’m sorry…wtf? What brother thinks this way about his sister?

What’s so sad is that there are genuinely good themes that this book explores, but the dialogue is so painfully unrealistic in every way and the sex scenes are also unrealistic and extra at times that it just takes me right out of the plot. And that’s without getting into the deep unprofessionalism of the situation.

Oh my word. Kill me.

I have so many regrets about picking up this book. Why must Audible so frequently disappoint with their plus catalogue. If it’s not me feeling ick about the lust thoughts being painfully excessive, it’s the brothers nicknaming their little sister after semen.

The difference between greatness and mediocrity was only ever about following through.
