……..this author has very different tastes in literature than I do.

Chris Fox told me to read this (a book in my category that’s ranking on Amazon). Thus far:

The story is interesting, but there are a lot of distracting grammar issues and anachronistic elements.

I love epistolary novels so I’m really digging the style so far. That said, I’m not as into the characters. We’ll see if that changes.

The Passover Seder drama will never be surpassed! 🤣

It’s been out a week! Should I finally mark it read? 🤣

😬 I was busy thinking uncharitable thoughts about Patricia’s son (I don’t think it’s cute that he’s obsessed with Nazis and harming animals, it’s not a phase, get the child some help) and then THAT happened… my workout ended at a tense spot…

Yikes. The way he made us annoyed at [spoiler] and then [had the thing I’ve seen trigger warnings for happen to her] was SUPER EFFECTIVE. There’s a really good negative to positive rebound for the character.

No really. I’m so viscerally angry at all the husbands right now that I’ll be disappointed if any of them survive the book.

Okay, Horse can live. But Patty’s husband and Grace’s husband? They should both be eaten by rats. 💀

So mad at the husbands right now.
