I’m really liking the world building so far, but the head hopping is a lot.

I picked this up because I’m reading more Jewish books. It’s definitely that, but despite being half-finished I’m not sure how I feel about it.

(No really if you’re even slightly in the know the Ashkar are about as subtle as a brick to the head. I picked up the book for that, but… this is… less transformed… than I expected.)

This is a Chirp audiobook deal and I’m considering just not reviewing it. It’s YA and I’m 60. I remember what being 16 was like, but I’m not very patient with the MC’s tribulations.

This is a Libby book. I suspect I won’t finish it in time because there’s a big con this weekend and I only have two weeks. We’ll see.

Okay, it definitely picked up. I’m enjoying the mystery/romance vibe.

I’m struggling my way through this book. Not because it’s bad, but because I’m a speculative fiction reader and this is lit fic. I don’t require fistfights or unicorns on every page, but for a spec fic reader it’s like, “okay, whiny girl tries to decide if she hates her dead mother because of normal mother/daughter tension or because of internalized racism,” and this is not my jam.

This is another Chirp Audio book. Thus far it’s fun, aside from the side-eye I’m giving the main character’s name: Bunny the Vampire.

It's fine but also it's a library book and I'm not going to finish it in time.

My library loan is about to expire, so I’ll have to try later

There’s a Kickstarter for a special edition hardcover and an audiobook at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...

Audiobook!!!

……..this author has very different tastes in literature than I do.

Chris Fox told me to read this (a book in my category that’s ranking on Amazon). Thus far:

The story is interesting, but there are a lot of distracting grammar issues and anachronistic elements.

I love epistolary novels so I’m really digging the style so far. That said, I’m not as into the characters. We’ll see if that changes.

The Passover Seder drama will never be surpassed! 🤣

It’s been out a week! Should I finally mark it read? 🤣

It’s live most places! And the web site is updated.

Er. I was enjoying it but also busy, and my library loan expired and was not renewable. Oops.

I had a great reading yesterday with Broad Universe! Congrats to the person who won a free copy!

I’m IndieReader Approved!
