Really enjoying this so far! The magic system is interesting and I love the writing style.

Another indie author! Really enjoying this so far. It’s urban fantasy which isn’t my usual, but I find the story engaging and I want to know more with each chapter!

I was given an arc of this novel in exchange for an unbiased review and even though it’s not my usual genre, I’m enjoying it so far!

I’ve been slowly reading this at work and ughhh whyyyyyy is Gillig such a good writer. Like save some talent for the rest of us I BEG

Once I hit the 25% I was HOOKED. the beginning is a lot of world building

Gillig does it again. I’m trying not to peer through this book because I am impatient and don’t want to wait for the next one 😭

You’re telling me that this girl who lives on the streets, who has “trained” with wooden swords in occasion, is able to fight off guards? Not one. Not two. BUT THREE. Guards that she mentioned are highly and specially trained for this job? Who are ruthless killers?

Almost DNF bc the beginning was so slow and dense. But I’m enjoying it now!

“Loving this” is hard to say considering the material. But this is a book I think everyone should read.
