bought for £1 at a car boot !!! noo money for sarah j mass thank you

this epilogue is so bizarre. the first third is tolstoy's musings about history and war, and then theres an update about the characters in the book, happily married etc. but then he pivots into philosophy of history and jurisprudence and how wrong historians are when focusing only on the rulers. This should have been a separate essay at the end i fear. i'm struggling and there's 20 pages left 😭

80% of the way through this and I've discovered that I've been thinking of the wrong book. I THOUGHT that Waterloo was in this book but theres 250 pages of plot left and we're still in 1812 so it's not likely. and the reason I thought waterloo happens in war and peace is because I thought that I have seen the BBC adaptation of War and Peace but it turns out that was Vanity Fair AND I HAD NO CLUE

alexa play waterloo by abba

I am now well equipped to understand the War parts of War and Peace

The more Pierre says his wife is stupid, the less I want to believe him

Pierre is so real (apart from the freemasons - that's not cool bro)

1000 pages left lets go babyyyy

Okay done with part one of peace - lots of people in high society gossiping; onto the first war section which so far is just a lot of politics and geography...

i have no idea what's going on - it feels like the author has got this complex backstory and plot but forgot to write half of it down

Oh I miss it so bad :(

(Even though she's mostly in Taichung and Chiayi at the moment, which I didn't even really go to.)

Avengers... assemble

what do you MEAN that u carry a vial of ur vampire boyfriend's blood around with you when you leave him on ur private island because you cannot cope with his vampire lifestyle, and he comes to collect you because ur all in danger, and its only then he turns u into a vampire cause he doesnt want to lose you, breaking a promise he made to himself 200 years ago.. all in one chapter
AND ITS CANON AND GAY just so good ugh

Armand I love u 🫰🏻🫶🏻❤️‍🔥 (idc if he's evil I can fix him)

The more I read this, the more I can't believe some of the choices they made in the show - it is incredible. The parallels between Gabrielle and Antoinette (ew btw), the reasons that Lestat treats Louis as he does. It's just so good

what the fuck was that Magnus

I am so sick and tired of this, I do not care about this relationship or any of these characters at all

Armand, oh my god

When Claudia is plotting, especially when Louis carries her, I'm just imagining the Nadja doll from What We Do In The Shadows, which I fear lessens her effect somewhat.

This is the best TV i've ever seen, I'm not even kidding

this is for my dissertation and holy shit its terrible

its just sooooo 2016 wattpad - i'm just being nostalgic

i don't wanna talk about it

YAYYY 🎉🎉
i have no clue what i'm gonna say about this in my tutorial tmr though
