He smokes a lot of cigars. Like he literally lit a second one within a 5 min conversation. Maybe the author doesn’t know that cigars don’t smoke fast like cigarettes.

This is real bad. But not bad enough to stop.

Why am I having anxiety when I know this book will have a happy ending? What is wrong with me?

I just found out it isn’t a duology. It’s a 4 book series. FUUUCCCCKKKK

I started it last night. Got just over half way. It’s still one big trauma and grief handbook.

The threat over her head is so lame. If my ex backed out of deal with a mobster and the choice was you either stay with me or I kill him. It’s a no brainer, kill my ex, what do I care, he cheated. Like who would keep their crappy ex alive?

This book isn’t amazing but I’m hooked. I wish the c would get better vocabulary for when she’s angry. She could have been something.

I am obsessed with this book.I cannot guess what is going to happen with anything!!!

The mom of the FMC has lung cancer. I am unwell, I am not prepared for this.

I don’t think this book is for me. I don’t love a story that flips back and forth between moving forward in a relationship to not trusting the MMC. She’s wounded for sure and has every right to feel insecure but I hate reading the emotional waffling and constant wall building. If I was the MMC I’d give up.

So different and fun

I don’t read poor. You can’t have a lover who can’t help you out of an eviction notice bc he doesn’t have two nickels to rub together. Especially after you’ve been SA’d.

I clocked the ending already and so I quit it

I don’t think this is for me. No hate on this book because I think a lot of other people will like it.

I already love this book.

I can’t. It’s first person and it feels like Zach from saved by the bell is telling me about his day. I know how everything is going to work and usually I’m good with that but I can’t with this one. Also dislike motivational therapy speeches intended for the reader.

Why am I unable to care but also why is it giving me anxiety?

Nothing is happening! Literally nothing. There has been one kiss. One attack. There was a sentence that confused the fuck out of me about moving her nose from her cheek to avoid the smell of bergamot. How is that possible? Also two huge word choices: concupiscence and pulchritudinous.

What has nothing happened and why am I still interested?

If you are given the opportunity to kill the person who tried to kill you, take it. Sigh

I think I have to pause this. I hate when a character takes on all the blame for something that could never be their fault and I know where that storyline goes with this guilt. Pausing for now.

I’ve tried. If you’re into Stockholm syndrome, insta lust and a stupid FMC then this book is for you. DNF
