It’s taken me almost 3 weeks to read half this book. Hopefully I’ll finish it by the end of the month.

I’m reading a 2 1/2 hour long “chapter” according to my kindle. The book is fine, but I’m not a fan of the formatting.

I might dnf. I don't think I can deal with the phonetic spelling of the mmc's accent.

I’m gonna keep reading because I spent money on this book, but this might end up a hate read. I hope it gets better, but I think the cringy 2015esque millennial humor is gonna be the death of me.

The story is getting interesting but I also have a feeling something bad is about to happen and I’m nervous

The heroine is so melodramatic so far and I kind of love that about her

I’m really struggling with this. The characters are insufferable; especially the heroine. I find it hard to respect the hero when he’s lusting after her, she’s so bad. The reviews say there’s character growth and I hope it happens soon, because o don’t know how much more I can take.

I’m only one chapter in but the heroine is rough. Her big issues are that they want her stop with the wine, opium, and orgies.

My home state is catching some strays from the heroine. Took me by surprise to get it from a boom that takes place in regency England.

The sibling relationship is weird. They’re too nice to each other.

I can tell they're about to do it, because the previous owner dog-eared the page. 😂

Finished part 1

I really hope there is character growth, because so far the heroine is a mean, spiteful, little brat. And the age gap between the heroine and hero is a little uncomfortable.

I'm so glad this is not my first Garwood book, because this book seems to have all the things that make me roll my eyes in romance books. It's still good though.

It takes about 275 pages for this book to get mildly interesting

I don't think I like this book I like this book, but DNFing now would make me feel like I wasted the last month of my life, so I'm going to try and power though and hopefully finish it while I have some extra days off work.

I’ve made it far enough that I don’t want to dnf, but I really want to be finished reading this so I can move on

These characters are stressing me out

It’s good, but all the anti-corset sentiment is driving me crazy.
