I don't understand the author's fascination with the word 'smirk'.
I mean, it's being used left and right and mostly on places it doesn't belong.
For example, Really, you love me? I smirk.
I mean hello, an emotional scene is going on here! When you say smirk, I automatically assume arrogant tilt of lips, not sweet and soft smile, like what was intended.
It is pissing me off big time right now.
