Pfiou, encore 200 pages... :s

Just begun. Right now, it isn't that different from Bastard out if Carolina by Dorothy Allison : South of USA, families too big to be safe, incest, parentified children, violences in couples, precarity, addiction, the dream to get out of that place... even the part about discovering gospel and the working in a restaurant have some very interresting parrallels !

Katniss is so self centered. She never thinks about how Peeta a traumatised kid living alone, has nightmares too, has no one like her mom and Prim to console him. She's bored'n fakes her new hobby (ok 4 me) but she's rude and dont want to understand Peeta's paintings. She's like "Gale is so rebellious and Peeta is Capitole material" but don't listen to what Peeta is saying too. (Limited captions, have to stop) Argh!

Binchy writes her charachters with so much love I am amazed !

Once again, i am amazed by Binchy's nuanced charachters !

Slowly progressing.
The first page was amazing! I was taken away on the spot!
But now, so many descriptions and info and i clearly will not remember it all. Because i do think they're important or bring a lot of symbolism, i hope the writer has made sure to not be too ominous when the plot will start to be revealed.

The writing isn't good, nor subtile.
The love story is obvious and doesn't mix well into the rest of the book. It's like the editor pointed chapters were something emotional had to be added to please readers but it just feel odd and out of place... it also messes up the rythm.

Quel ennui!
