Damnnnn so far I don’t want to put the book down! But alas I have to sleep.

I’m not sure how I feel about this book. I was really in the mood for some good fantasy and a fantasy heist?? Hello! But the back and forth between timelines really slows me down and makes me lose interest. As well as I’m 30% In and nothing too exciting has happened There’s also not a huge fantasy element so far, it’s subtle and there but I guess I was just expecting it to be more but I do like the characters

I was really excited about this book because I loved the first book and the fact that this is about maud, the sister from the last book. Her character in the last book seemed interesting; I was excited to read about her and the sapphic romance. So far though the romance is the tropiest of sapphics with the inexperienced naive girl with the “slutty” bisexual. I’m not super fond of it.

All the different pov changes had my head spinning a bit but so far I love the characters, and the world building is soooo interesting!

Im getting there okay, I’m slowly getting over the fact there is no Percy or Annabeth pov and I WILL FINISH THIS BOOK

Nah cause I looked ahead at the chapters, WHY THE HELL ARE THERE NO PERCY AND ANNABETH POVS! A whole lot of Jason, Jason??? I have soft spot for him but I’m sorry he’s so boring. How are you gonna make this the last book in the series and not have a Percy POV. How am I supposed to finish this? I swear the only thing motivating me is nico POV a little bit of Leo but ughhh this is gonna take while

Started out a little slow but it’s picking up the pace and I’m finally starting to enjoy it

It took me a bit to get into but I think I’m finally starting to get into the story and I’m i. Love with the main character. Legitimately in love with her

Mari Lu is such a genius in writing. I’m obsessed with this duology and it’s characters I’m really excited to see how it ends!
