Do you guys ever go through a phase (not a reading slump but something similar) where you understand that you are reading objectively good books that you would otherwise thoroughly enjoy and feel passionate about, but for some reason, right now, are having no effect on your emotions or intellect except to mildly entertain you and frustrate you that you aren’t more entertained?

Really enjoying this so far!

I just love how in every contemporary novel, the Christian character MUST be uptight, holier than thou, self-hating, a product of their oppressive upbringing. Sam is a Southern Baptist but says he “stops taking the sacrament” after having premarital? C’mon, Lily King. I’m trying to enjoy this book but finding it hard.

Decided to read this before I embark on the Camino in April

Question to my goodreads friends- do you guys personally “count”audiobooks as reading? just curious :)

Punctuating my current longer reads with something short. So far so good, I think I would have really loved this had I read it around 14-16, when I thought Holden Caulfield was the most relatable character in literary history.
