I'm sorry this takes place on a boat and the MMC's name is pronounced "boat-in" (Bohdan)???????? I.... Wh...whyyy would an author do that???????? Legitimately I don't know if I can continue this book 😭

This FMC has to be one of the dumbest horror movie characters in the history of media. But it's like a trainwreck and I can't look away 😭

Well. I know I'm going to be screaming at the FMC this whole book. After someone broke into the morgue she's working in (overnight shift), instead of alerting hospital security or one of the numerous other staff members she literally runs past, she runs to her car. When her car light is already on, instead of, I dunno, dialling 911, she just... takes an Uber home... and tells no one. Sigh.

I mean I know I watch a lot of true crime and this isn't that kind of book, but if a man you met yesterday is trying to take you on a first date to an unmanned yacht that he borrowed from a rich friend, I don't think I'm wrong to say that you're probably about to be murdered.

Maybe I'm crazy but whooooo reads that and thinks "oooo, lyrics!" followed by "a Taylor Swift misquote!" instead of the far more obvious Sting / The Police??

Outlook not good on this book.... Both MCs already seemed pretty insufferable.

Now we have learned that the FMC (who's engaged but has, as the title suggests, accidentally wedded a werewolf) is in an open relationship and her fiance (who left for vacation without her while she's stuck in an Alaskan snowstorm) tells her he's totally cool with it if she wants to sleep with her accidental husband. Umm....

I'm sorry I know I'm coming off "Wellsy" which is my favorite nickname of all time, but we're really letting someone's nickname be "pee"????

(Yes I know he's saying "P" for Paloma and that I'm an adult, but pee???????)

This book thinks I remember what happened in the previous two books and I really, truly don't, so I'd reeeeeeally appreciate if they could do a better job reminding me of that plsthnx 😅

The audiobook narrator just said "sentinent" instead of "sentient"... TWICE. I've rewound it multiple times, convinced my ears were playing tricks on me, but no luck 😭

I thought this would be more like Nocticadia with a spooky vibes and kind of X-Filesy, but.... The MMC is talking about sadism right now WITH HIS DAD and I just don't think that's for me 🫠

I was on the fence about DNFing so I started reading reviews and... Yeah I don't think I'm going to enjoy it more as time goes on unfortunately.

Okay I knew this was a prequel but I didn't realize just how "pre" they meant... I have NO EARTHLY IDEA how this is going to relate to Conform.

If you think reading something from 2014 is safe, think again.... The negative way sex work and strippers are depicted while the morally superior MMC is VOLUNTARILY VISITING A STRIP CLUB is absolutely bananies 😒

This book is too adorable but the lack of conflict so far is giving me major anxiety because I am going to RIOT if anything happens to these golden retrievers

I think I hate this book and they just said "Marina Trench" (not a thing or place) instead of "Mariana Trench" (deepest trench in the ocean) and it might be what puts me over the DNF edge 🤪
