The audiobook narrator just said "sentinent" instead of "sentient"... TWICE. I've rewound it multiple times, convinced my ears were playing tricks on me, but no luck 😭

I thought this would be more like Nocticadia with a spooky vibes and kind of X-Filesy, but.... The MMC is talking about sadism right now WITH HIS DAD and I just don't think that's for me 🫠

I was on the fence about DNFing so I started reading reviews and... Yeah I don't think I'm going to enjoy it more as time goes on unfortunately.

"I'm sure this hoopla bonus borrow will be totally fine!" .... Yeah was not aware this was dark why choose bully romance. Started looking at reviews when it seemed like the FMC was about to be r-worded aaaand nope!

Okay I knew this was a prequel but I didn't realize just how "pre" they meant... I have NO EARTHLY IDEA how this is going to relate to Conform.

I'm just soooooo booooooored 😭 There are *puppies* in this book and even that isn't keeping me interested.

If you think reading something from 2014 is safe, think again.... The negative way sex work and strippers are depicted while the morally superior MMC is VOLUNTARILY VISITING A STRIP CLUB is absolutely bananies 😒

This book is too adorable but the lack of conflict so far is giving me major anxiety because I am going to RIOT if anything happens to these golden retrievers

I think I hate this book and they just said "Marina Trench" (not a thing or place) instead of "Mariana Trench" (deepest trench in the ocean) and it might be what puts me over the DNF edge 🤪

We're 38% into this book and I'm still struggling to understand WHY these two have decided they shouldn't pursue a relationship??? It's not even a miscommunication issue which would annoy me but at least make sense 😭

Every line contradicts the previous line and I might have an aneurysm if I continue.

Rereading not because I enjoyed it, but because I forgot it so completely that I felt it necessary to reread before reading book 2 😅 Wish me luck

There's a StoryGraph version of this audiobook from 2022 with Joe Arden and another from 2024 with Tim Paige so okay hats off for what seems like rerecording this book to get rid of human garbage Joe Arden!

Oh jesus christ, I'm like 2 minutes in and apparently this is a spin off from book 4 of the Montgomery Ink Legacy series???? Ugh fine I'll go read that but I swear if I have to read the Montgomery Ink (not Legacy) series first to feel like I understand what's going on...........

I will finish this book if it kills me.

I'm not even 20% in and these people met like 3 hours but are already SCREAMING at each other about every minor thing... 😬

Am I in a bad mood, or is book 2 significantly worse so far??? It just seems like every other sentence is contradictory. Pass out from exhaustion and wake up able to easily attack, hiding from the wanted posters everywhere yet trying to join an illegal fighting match... I feel like I'm having a stroke.

Tor Thom is a hilariously bad choice for narrator when the MMC is a motorcycle club guy using words like "ain't" in his internal monologue. Wish me luck enduring this 🫠
